Philip De Jong is a documentary and editorial photographer currently located in South Lake Tahoe, California. Raised in the San Bernardino, California foothills, Philip has completed a B.A. in Fine Arts from James Madison University and has completed coursework for an M.A. in Visual Communication; Photojournalism from Ohio University.
He is interested in exploration of the human condition in all its elements. Having taken a year to personal adventure in the Sierras, his current projects surround the complexities of the Lake Tahoe Basin and the surrounding communities. The natural beauty of the area serves the tourism industry generously, but the human presence does little for the environment.
